Our ‘Mum and Bubs’ classes are specially designed for women returning to exercise in the early postnatal period following the birth of their baby. These classes taken by Monique will suit women 6 weeks postnatal (after clearance from Obstetrician/G.P. check-up) until baby is approximately 10 months old. The classes provide a pelvic floor friendly exercise programme and are conducted and closely supervised by our very experienced instructor Monique.
These classes aim to improve pelvic floor and core muscle awareness, co-ordination and strength whilst also incorporating upper and lower limb strength and overall fitness. Your exercise programme will also address any abdominal muscle separation (Rectus Diastasis) present. These classes are also a great way to meet some other mums with babies and Mabel and Gertrude’s is just up the road and they do great coffees and are gorgeous people – so you could drift up there and continue the connection.
A comprehensive screening questionnaire will be filled in when you sign up and please inform your instructor of any issues following your delivery. If you are concerned about bladder, bowel, pelvic floor function or a rectus diastasis (abdominal muscle separation) then ring 38489601 to make an appointment with Sue, Amanda, Jane or Martine.
